A fisherman's dream. Sheepshead, speckled trout, flounder, whiting, redfish, shark and tripletail in the bay; snapper, grouper, amberjack, sea bass, mackerel, mahi-mahi, cobia and sharks in the gulf. Seafood galore. The best oysters in the world; steamed, grilled, in chowder and bisque, or simply on the half shell. Shrimp any way you want it. Miles of bike paths, excursions to uninhabited islands, kids fishing trips, dolphin-spotting, kayak adventures, migratory bird watching, star-gazing and hiking at the State Park, church services. You may see sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs! Stop at the visitor center and take a picture of the newly reconstructed lighthouse, the Cape St. George Light.
